Crystal Meth Facts

Illegal meth labs known as "mom and pop" labs are typically found in rural, city and suburban residences. Labs often pop up in barns, garages, other outbuildings, back rooms of businesses, apartments, hotel and motel rooms, storage facilities, vacant buildings and vehicles.
Crystal methamphetamine or "tina" is one of the fastest growing drugs in the gay community. To users it's short-term effects may seem mild and the initial high fantastic, but in the long run tina can be dangerous to their physical and emotional health not to mention social well-being. 
A meth overdose is a toxic reaction that can occur at relatively low levels (50 milligrams of pure Meth for a non-tolerant user). Because each persons metabolic rates vary and the strength of the meth varies from batch to batch there is no way of stating a "safe" level of use.
Meth is abused in both urban and rural areas and use is equally divided among males and females.
When a meth user smokes or injects the drug they feel an intense rush almost immediately. When the drug is snorted the effects take about five minutes to be felt and twenty minutes if the drug is taken orally.
