When firefighters are called to respond to a meth lab they risk serious injury from toxic fumes and gasses present during the making of meth.
When a meth addict is on a run (continually using meth until they physically cant use it anymore or have no more money to buy more) they may inject as much as a gram of meth every two to three hours over the course of several days.
Meth effects take place quickly creating rapid pleasurable feelings that are then followed by feelings of depression and irritability when the drug wears off.
Crystal meth highs tend to last 4-8 hours with users cycling the drug for days. Crystal users often stay awake for days on end, eating very little and staying in a heightened state of arousal that is very stressful for the body and brain. 
Meth withdrawal may include: irritability, depression, fearfulness, loss of energy, and extreme craving for the drug.
